identifying pain points
This was my very first project in UX, and honestly, it was a real learning curve. With the guidance of my mentor, I dive into the UX process, starting with identifying pain points that users were experiencing. We didn’t just stop there—we dug deep with both qualitative and quantitative research. Here are some of the key pain points we covered...
Housewives may lose interest over time
Balancing family duties with learning is challenging
busy routines make it hard to follow fixed schedules.
qualitative research
For qualitative research, my team conducted 13 in-depth interviews - 12 were one-on-one, and 1 was a group session. These conversations allowed us to truly connect with users, hear their personal stories, and understand their behaviors and challenges around learning. It was eye-opening!
quantitative research
On the quantitative side, we used surveys to gather a broader range of data. The insights from a diverse user base gave us a clear picture of user preferences and areas that needed improvement. This combination of personal stories and numbers gave us a solid foundation to move forward.
Our strategy
To tackle these pain points, we created flexible, self-paced learning modules to fit busy schedules and maintain engagement through personalized, adaptive content. We added community support features, like peer groups and forums, to reduce isolation and foster collaboration. Our detailed Information Architecture (IA) supports these features, with intuitive navigation, a clean content model, and personalized learning experiences. This strategy helps users focus on their learning journey without feeling overwhelmed by content or time constraints.
